American country music singer defined by a mix of sounds, including traditional country, country-pop and bluegrass music.
Born in Pikeville, Kentucky in January of 1957, Loveless voice has been favorably compared to both Loretta Lynn and Emmylou Harris. Some of her most notable collaborations include Kentucky native Dwight Yoakam, George Jones and John Prine.
Her native Pikeville is situated in eastern Kentucky within Pike County. The town is a “home rule-class” city which all of the cities within Kentucky share with the exception of Lexington and Louisville.
